The motorcycle market is down and nearly every corner of the industry has been rocked by the recent financial slump. Magazines are giving away subscriptions, businesses are closing and many major manufacturers are bringing few, if any, new models to the US for 2010. Although generally scaled down from previous years, the North American Chinese motorcycle industry showed promise at this year's Dealer Expo with a few new models and a healthy mix of inspired riders literally producing their dreams through access to low-cost manufacturing.

Ok so the project begins.

Today I removed all the pesky plastics to get down to the business of the bike, and see what's going to need to be fixed prior to putting this bike on the track.

After dumping the plastic this is what it looks like.

First spot of trouble I found after the first run around on the bike was a leaky float bowl gasket. Not a major issue but needs to be repaired on a new bike. No pics of the leak but here's the carb, a Jing Ke. Never heard of that one before??? Once I verify the bore size is the same as the CRF150F a Kehin will be replacing this one.

I think the middle one is a Kenda K270...stay away from that one. I agree with Rotortrash, right one for enduro and left one for dual-sport.

I had a similar problem with my Qingqi 200gy---- When I bought the bike, the "mechanics" I use that term very loosley, put the speedo drive on without any grease...the dry gearing in the drive...
