Skyteam V Raptor 250..... New bike for my wife...
Hi China moto'ers
My wife is now the proud owner of a Skyteam V-Raptor 250...I found it second hand at a local bike shop, three and a bit years old but with only 1100kms on the clock...Stupidly cheap for such a pretty bike, and so far, (We've clocked up around 120 miles in the last week), it seems like a great little bike.
Attachment 15012
I've spent a couple of days prettifying it with some vinyls and matte black brushwork, (It was looking just a little tired in places), but mechanically it seems good to go! I've read that Skyteam have approved a carburettor/gearing upgrade which gives a little more midrange uuummph and wondered if anyone on here had had their bike modified?
I'll keep posting as we continue to increase that odometer number...
Cheers
Everyone

Hey Krasi
Good to meet you!
Those side racks look pretty useful :icon10:
Did you get the coil sorted?
Skyteam now have a reasonably large dealer network in the UK and an online parts service...

Don't know where you're based but they may ship internationally.
Cheers
Happy riding!

Magneto was sorted long time ago. I checked with the UK importer, but didn't like their price, so purchased it directly from the factory (as weird as this sounds).

Glad you're sorted...Sorry, I probably should have worked out the thread was a bit ancient :icon10:...I'm a bit new to forums.
Straight from the factory can't have been easy, (unless you speak Chinese)...How did you manage that?
Cheers Krasi

Re: Skyteam V Raptor 250..... New bike for my wife...
No, Mandarin, just plain, old English via email. Much to mi surprise! I used a TaoBao agent (extra 10%) to handle the transportation from China to Bulgaria as the factory does not offer good "retail" shipping :D
Actually 2.5 years ago, when I decided I want this bike I contacted them and they sent me an offer for just one bike, no problem. But then I found a guy in Bristol who sold me one for pretty much the same price if had shipped it and import-taxed it from China.
So, the moral of the story is that Skyteam factory seems unusually customer friendly and responsive. I can only imagine if you call a Honda factory asking for spare parts :naughty:

The difference is that you are far more likely to find a Honda (Kwaka, Yamaha, Suzuki) dealer/agent, who'll more than likely be able to assist... after sales, service, support, parts & manuals etc... therefore no need to contact 'mother ship'... just sayin...

Wow, that's an old thread resurrected!
Meanwhile, Skyteam has a nice "European" distributor now:
