couple of questions re Qlink (QingQ) XF200
Hi all,
this is my first bike. I have put 200km on it so far. As bike still in break-in period, I find the first gear very short (almost useless!) as you need to immediately go into second after rolling off from stop. Otherwise, you have to rev up the engine beyond 7000 rpm to get some omph!
Have read that some people roll-off from stop in 2nd gear, tried few times but kept stalling! any recommendation on how to do that and what is the best way to shift between gears (up & down)?
Then comes the throttle control, when I first start the bike and roll off in 1st then 2nd gear the throttle is smooth and linear. Once I go up to 3rd or 4th then shift down to 2nd, I find the throttle to become very sensitive and bike will jerk on throttle input no matter how smoothly I twist throttle?! Do you have similar issue? is this normal or is it me? what to do about it?
l,
Re: couple of questions re Qlink (QingQ) XF200
Bighead, congrats on the purchase. I would suggest to research the XF200 on here, chinariders.net, and the web in general. There is a member, 'Volksjagger' who has his own blog about his experience with his XF200, and the modifications he has done (he commutes with it in the San Diego area, including the freeways!!). JP Motorsports, the place out of San Diego where he bought his, has some aftermarket parts for these bikes, or at least did have parts. They are related to the Suzuki DR200se, so you could probably find advice from forums discussing the DR, too. I am sure someone here will give you advice.

Re: couple of questions re Qlink (QingQ) XF200
BH,
The gearing tends to be a little tall on the bike thanks to it's off-road heritage. You can always knock the rear sprocket down a couple teeth and try it out without too much difficulty. If you live in a really hilly/mountainous area you may feel the changes in a negative way but if you're in the flat-lands, it's almost surely the way to go.
Smell around MCM for some sprocket options.

Cul, CC,
Thanks for the recommendations. I am considering changing fork oil and replacing rear sprocket with smaller one as 99% of my commute is on flat roads.
Any thing to improve throttle control though?
