Found this bike at the eicma in milan last week,it clearly a husqvarna of the varese period before the takeover of k.t.m.Does this mean that that shineray bought the old husqvarna part ?

Dear Stradale,
Fantastic first post! It's quite a mystery you've revealed, and a tantalizing one at that. Where did you see this bike? Was there a Shineray booth at EICMA?
Do please tell us a bit about yourself when you have a minute. The proper forum would be Welcome to MCM! You're living in Belgium? Where? And what do you ride? What's your favorite Belgian beer.... Don't be shy!
cheers

I am not sure but Xinyuan may have bought the Husqvarna plant from Stefan Pierer, but not the Husquvarna brand as that is being merged into Husaberg.

Its very strange and the lack of press on it stranger yet.
The previous model line Husquvarna offered still is on Puzey SA website. BMW sold Husquvarana to Stephen Pierer last year. These may be close out inventory, but I suspect that Xinyuan bought some rights to the past models and may have actually bought the factory in Italy.
The above model does look to have the BMW 650 made by loncin, makes it all the more complicated.

What is odd is that there is already an answer, to the question who is the partner to take over the operations.

Re: Shineray husqvarna at the eicma 2013
years have gone by
i am now enjoying a SM500R SWM that was reborn as a brand after a joint venture of Shineray and an italian engineer who had worked for Aprilia Guzzi and Cagiva in the past
i was at that EICMA show too and noted those bikes
now after my suggestion my local dealer/mechanic became the first one in southern Italy to sell SWM and it seems they are doing good
they have also a racing team for Supermotard, winning a lot of races with young riders and with no external sponsors so far
thumbs up !!
