stolen bikes
Recently a few bikes have been stolen from compounds and yesterday, when a friend called and told me his bike had been stolen, I went to the parking area where it was taken from.. CCTV cameras were useless... when I got there I found they had been turned away from the street... aided by a car I suppose the perps climbed up and turn them ....... calling security, they said someone checks everyday but if it was at night .. the maint. staff were gone. I am not sure of their "checks" but I do know.. thieves are clever and keep an eye on your CCTV .... it may foretell a ripoff

Seems to be a run on thefts these days. I am noticing a lot of reports on Chinese websites.

Re: stolen bikes
Yes Sir, big time..... it seems that they have gotten bold....reminds me of groups (gangs) from overseas .... tht would come to the US on vistor visas and then just make a run of stealing bikes in an area .. then move on....this was the 2nd time in two weeks that our place was hit....I found the cameras turned away from the parking and alerted management ......
I tried to get these guys to lock their bikes cause I feel that one stolen bike encourages thieves to return to successful fishing grounds. They have mostly been parking for convenience.... right by their front doors.. outside the buildings.... one bike was just wheeled over to a gate, laid flat and pulled under the gate with no regard for scratches or dents....they dint care.....
