Tachometer indicates more revs than real! Qingqi supermotard
Hi Folks
My Qingqi Supermotard 200cc has a tachometer that indicates more revs than real.
Itīs weird couse doesn't happen all the times. Sometimes its ok.
I Know this couse in 5th gear at 6500 rpm the speedometer show 100km/h but the other day was at 5th and 100km/h and the tachometer shows 10 000 rpm. I stop an at idle shows 3500 rpm
What can be wrong?
Anything else seems to work OK. I made a 1200km trip this week (semana santa) with no problem besides the tach.
Im sure this is not good. But can't figure it out.
Thanks in advance

Hi there..
I think that is a problem with the cable that measures the rpm's... You can change that cable and see if there a change is made.
If you don't know where the cable is located, give me a feedback and i will show you a photo.
Cheers!

Those tachs units are known to be fidgety. If you haven't been playing around with the wiring, then it's probably just the unit. I've seen that model tach on a couple other bikes so I'm not sure if it's an adjustable unit.

would i be right in thinking that these units take their readings from the coil? if thats the case then if there are no running problems then yes it could just be a faulty tacho.
