NEW MODEL CFMOTO 400 NK 2017 COMING SOON Attachment 18496
It needn't of been a dual sport, but at least take a page from the Ninja 300 and make a dedicated 400 twin with a 400 twin weight. A 200kg 400cc bike? Who wants that?
Many motorcycle manufacturers are jealous of car makers. Volkswagen / Audi / Skoda / Seat / Porsche only make a few chassis and engines and then slap different bodies on top and different badges saving loads of money. Car buyers generally know so little about anything car that they'll fall for anything.
Motorcyclists aren't so easily duped.
CF 400 NK is new model complete redesign , new chasis , new brakes , are development by cfmoto - Kiska , I think that no exist in chinese market other brand that use the Kiska designner to make the own motorcycles , perhaps the only problem of this model is the price ....but the feeling of racers that test the unit in Spain is so good at the moment.

That’s not a complete redesign, what Kiska does is not mechanical they design the appearance only. The color of the model, the blue that carries onto the website is some of what they do. They do not do mechanical engineering. CFMoto NK and TR are all based on Kawasaki platforms and engines as well. They added their own/others peripherals, induction, brakes…
There is no question that CFMOTO can rally resources to bring a decent product to the market, what they base these bikes off are well engineered Kawasaki models. First the 650 and now a scaled down version as a 400 which are identical to each other, the 650 got a makeover and came with a 400cc version as well. Nothing new in that as Kawasaki also did that already with the 650.
They took the Kawasaki design and bought and applied packaged style from Kiska, which to me is not all that, not simple or elegant most of what they do is avant-garde. That can come off as trying to hard sometimes. In the case of Kiska their designs cross brands and the results are similar.
Are there any concrete specs on this model yet ?
I can see quite a few design differences just looking at the photo to my 650nk .
