Designed by Dan Anderson. I just love how he hints at the shape of a traditional petrol tank while reminding you it doesn't have one.
You can see the rest of his portfolio here if you want.

Re: Sweet electric concept bike
Cool bike. My man-parts are hurting a little looking at those bars in front of the seat, though.
Re: Sweet electric concept bike
i think you may find your man parts will slide gently in between the two bars and remain unhurt!
Re: Sweet electric concept bike
...a motorcycle is not what I think of when I hear "slide gently."
Re: Sweet electric concept bike
No way! This thing ventilates groins too much!

Re: Sweet electric concept bike
I got a chance to talk with the Zero guys at the Indianapolis Expo. We even got a video interview from them which I will post as soon as I recover from the current video project.
Good looking bikes and they claim to have the power of a 250 and only weight about 150lbs!!! Full recharge in only 4 hours and a recycling friendly battery.

Re: Sweet electric concept bike
Electric motors have no power band curve, they have consistent torque from 0 to the maximum revolutions. The other bike the Mission bike seemed to use regenerative breaking to simulate gearing…that being the breaking action would tap off energy or force and send it to the battery.
What could be done is a simulation of gearing, by breaking and accelerating.
When they say similar to a 250cc power what are they referring to peak hp or just the overall performance? Not the same things, because a consistent 20hp from 0 to say 7500 rpms would IMO attain much higher speeds, then a typical 250cc gas engine. A typical 250 only has the 20hp at some point on a curve, not on a straight line as the electric does.

ZECOO ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE
Attachment 7307This is the zecOO prototype, shot last week at the ancient Chokoji Temple in Sanmu, a couple of hours east of Tokyo.AFG Moto's Jason Fullington, who helped arrange this shoot, reports that the bike is now being torn down in preparation for small-scale production. He also says that it was “fun, fast and silent” to ride.
The zecOO has a range of between 88 and 136 km (55 to 85 miles), which is pretty good. Top speed is 120 kph (75 mph), which is comfortably more than the 100 kph limit on Japanese highways. Weight is a hefty 245kg, but on the plus side, the bike takes just four to six hours to charge.Read more: http://www.bikeexif.com/zecoo-electric-motorcycle#ixzz1vmAh17xK
