Performance Coil and CDI

I'm needing to know if the performance racing coil, universal. And the performance racing CDI need a bigger stator to work correctly. Mine has 8 coils, I think. I don't know how to test it's output. The perf. coil looks like it has only one connector for input. Any info greatly appreciated. But if I connect these parts is it going to overwork my generator? The parts in question are at chinapartscanada.com . universal coil is $39.99, CDI for 110-250 Chinese vertical engines is $59.99

What about kamikazi cdi's and coil's dude, Off ebay?
