Re: HI - need Info and Help
Looks basically the same as the Galaxy engine with different side covers. Interesting that your engine is a 229cc as most of the Loncin are 223cc. They are based on the Honda FTR223. There is a guy on this forum named Humanbeing, wonder if he knows the difference between the 223cc and 229cc, maybe just piston size. :confused1:
Not much out there for service manuals, but it is very close to the Honda FTR223.

Hi,
You are right! it is 223 cc, but it i is diffrent engine as this: http://cgi.ebay.de/Loncin-250cc-Moto...item5d2a7db10c
But what the difference? What it is? The right side of engine right from the "oil eye"
Re: HI - need Info and Help
I think the only difference is the side covers and the starter motor cover. I've seen many different designs of this engine in China, but they all have the same engine cases and head. I'm interested in the carburetor on your bike, it's different than the one usually attached to this engine. Can you tell what company and model carb it is?
Cheers!

Do you know the piston dimensions for the 229cc compared to the 223cc, is the bore dimension the only difference? I gained about 10 kilos of fat riding around America this summer, so I think the extra 6cc might help me :icon10:

Yeah I agree with you. The only difference is the side and starter but everything is just the same.
