If not can someone please send me a link to where i can get chain and sprockets without spending the earth
Anyone know the best sprocket size for going arond town with some open road driving?
Re: Pulse Adrenaline Chain and Sprocket
Front: JTF426
DRUM version Rear: http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...ll=1#post17021
Chain: Re-calcaulate by ur self if changed sprocket. :mwink: Default is 13? Links. Taiwanese brand Triple-S / KMC heavy duty type are enough for on-road use.

How did you go with this? Let us know. I also found an old thread with a lot of info.

Re: Pulse Adrenaline Chain and Sprocket
Great, was going to try 16 tooth on front and 38tooth on rear. will it work?
Re: Pulse Adrenaline Chain and Sprocket
I think that ratio is coming down too low at 2.375:1.
You should do one or the other I reckon.
No-one else here is helping anyone much lately but I am not the most experienced in these things by a long way. I read somewhere that it is best from 2.75 to 3.25 and that that really depends on the internal gear ratios but is a safe enough range to work within! You need a mechanical engineer or someone more experienced than me to explain this stuff properly. I have done this on my bike recently and more decades ago, but I am not a mechanic.
The front change alone should help a lot. What are the sprockets you have at present? If you have a 13 tooth front and 44 rear (ratio 3,3) - then just the rear down to 38 will give you less low-end and higher top-end at 2.9 and be quite comfortable for the engine to handle . Or if the rear is say 44 then going to 16 front alone will do the same approx. at 2.75 but may be flatter in the low gears which shouldn't be a problem unless you are hill-climbing in the mud or something.
