Hi from UK - CCM230 / LX250 Owner !
Attachment 3200As of last week I became a CCM CXR230 owner - think this is sold as a Loncin LX250 in the rest of the world ?
No pics yet as I've been stripping it and prepping it - not even ridden it yet ! New off road tyres , better rear
shock , hand guards etc fitted . Found this site when looking for a Torch D8RTC equivalent
My other CCM - 604 Rotax powered !

I don't recognize this bike, anyone knows the original manufacturer? Nice bike, looks a bit like a KLR with that tank. Is that the stock tank?
Reread your post, for some reason i thought Loncin makes the engine only. I think they're the same engines used by Galaxy motorcycles.

Welcome, Bojer. Nice looking steed you've got there, and looking forward to reports of your new purchase. Lots of recent buzz in our forum about Loncin, as they seem to be getting a bit more market-focused and innovative with the launch of a sweet-looking 650 street bike last fall.

Welcome to the forums! Hope you post pics of your new bike. Your old one looks just awesome, especially when I hear "powered by Rotax". Reminds me of old MZ four strokes. And that is MZ, not MuZ.
Re: Hi from UK - CCM230 / LX250 Owner !
Welcome aboard mate.. I once had a Armstrong mt500 with that rotax engine, great lump apart from the left hand kicker. Where abouts in the UK are you?? I'm a Yorkshire lad, from leeds, with a Galaxy XTR230 here in China, so any questions you're in the right place.
Show us some pics of your rebuild, and any mods your planning too!
Rich:thumbsup:
Re: Hi from UK - CCM230 / LX250 Owner !
Sweet! Where do you usualy go on that?
Have you ever take it out in the Peak District?
There's some mental trails out there that would be crazy fun on a bike like yours.
Enjoy the new bike mate, i'll look forward to pics and a review.
It's also good to see another Yorkshire bhoy on here btw.
Being a Sheffield lad myself.
Re: Hi from UK - CCM230 / LX250 Owner !
Hi all and thanks for the welcome .
I got the bike last week and have been caught up with other stuff /work/rain etc so have not ridden it except around the garden !:rolleyes1: So not sure how fast , not very I suspect , 70mph maybe ? Should get out on it this w/e , now has offroad tyres on it ,EGR valve etc removed and blanked off , Honda Transalp rear shock with standard CCM spring - fits straight in and works 1000% better than the standard shock ! Besides that all as standard - plastic tank under side shrouds .
Yep I can start most bikes ok - have a BSA B40 trials , but have never managed to start the 604 on the kicker - ever ! My usual routes are local to me , Silverstone lanes, Hertfordshire?Bedfordshire/Northants etc .
Did the Peaks once on my TTR600 - came back with flats on both rims ! 230 should be better for that I hope .
Sold branded CCM in the UK but from web searches it looks like the whole bike is built by LOncin as the LX250 ??
Hope to report more in a couple of days .
cheers,

Sorry was not paying attention - the 604 does an easy 90mph + on the road but it is not the best thing for high speed roadwork - too much noise and vibes !
