ChangJiang dealer shops in Beijing
Dear forumites,
I would like to check out the CJ750 sidecars and therefore look for shops around Beijing. The only place I found so far (by accident) was at 远通桥 at the East fifth ring road. But to be honest, it did not look "very tidy".
Are there any other shops?
Also related to sidecars, I have some China-specific questions that maybe the more knowledgeable riders of these bikes can answer:
1. Is it legal in China to ride a sidecar bike without the sidecar?
2. Is it possible to get legal plates and 行使本 for the CJ750 (in other words: do they come with all proper Chinese documents (手续))?
3. How is the spare part situation for the CJ750? Are parts still produced?
Many thanks for your help! :) Safe riding!
Xiaofei

Hey there!
Thanks a lot for your replies! Very helpful! :)
Last Sunday I went to search for the shop I mentioned above. I learned that it moved to 平房乡 right next to Xiao Yang’s shop in 姚家园旧路。They had some bikes there – some already restored: chrome parts, BMW engines, new paintjob - basically some eye candies. Ok, don’t want to make advertisement for them while I'm not getting any commission. ;-)
@Felix: funny thing - and you know what, my real name is also Felix. :-)
Have a great day! Cheers,
Xiaofei

Jim's place would be my first choice ...
BTW: finding a proper and clean CJ-workshoparound BJ is pretty difficult (except Jim's) - most of them usually are pretty messy compared to european and american standards so don't mind ...
