Adjusting chain tension in primitive setting
Hi,
I have a Chinese model Honda CW 125-C. I tightened the chain tension today, but I had to eyeball it when it came to aligning the rear tire afterwards. I am in sort of "primitive" conditions. In other words, I have to work on my bike on the street, and by myself. Any tips for trying to align the rear wheel, without having a prtner to use the "string method"?
Re: Adjusting chain tension in primitive setting
Hey this might help, search for posts by forchetto and look for posts with pics of his bike. Looks like he made measuring marks on both sides of the swing arm just for this purpose. You can use the pics as guides or you can try to ask him about it.
Re: Adjusting chain tension in primitive setting
Or plan No.2: use, for example, tape meter - adjust wheel so his rim is equidistant from both arms of swingarm. Of course, this applies on symmetric swingarm.
