Just Joined My China Moto - Any Motor Biking On Hainan Island

Hello All ,

Happy Holidays - I am based in Shanghai , but have a winter vacation { 6 more weeks } on southeast Hainan Island. Have a 150 CC bike & time to see the 'real China down here .
Any suggestions ?...any 'China moto folks down here ?
BTW : Have been following the forums for the past year . Great stuff & 'thanks to all who contribute their time . Hope I can add more .

Hey Meg,,,, Welcome to the site,,,,,,I ,ve had a couple of stays in Sanya,, we hired a scoot and took a trip in to the back of beyond,,then of course the scoot went "tits up" ,,what a palaver...to cut a long story short we spent the night in a shed next day shipped it back in some sort of three wheel truck,,,,,,,,But great scenery and strange but very friendly people...

Thanks Lipee and have noticed most of the motor bikes are small and look fairly tired .
My Chinese girlfriend is excellent with GPS and we are heading north west of Sanya to the large rainforests to hike some peaks .
Just read TB's piece on Hainan Island and it will be a great guide . Thanks TB !
Will gather more pictures and update all on the Hawaii of the Orient .
