Bike Not starting with Electric starter.
Hey guy's ! I'm not mechanically incline but ill try to explain my problem.
Bike run no.1 with foot crank but doesn't want to start with E-start.
Solenoid doesn't click when i press the starter.
1st. Ive put 12v on the 2 cable and it does click.
2. ignition switch has 12v to it.
3. Ignition switch pass continuity test when pressed.
4. 12v up to the solenoid when ignition switch is pressed.
Ive bridge the solenoid on the 2 small wire and connected 12v to those 2 wire and the bike start.
I'm kid of lost at this point.
Also, I'm not sure what is the green wire that connect to the solenoid.Yellow/Red is 12v from starter but the other one is a mastery for me... Is it for the kill switch or clutch depress switch?
Looking forward to your input.
Samuel
Re: Bike Not starting with Electric starter.
Try bypassing the safety switches and see if that helps, you should have one on the clutch lever and one on the side stand. To bypass them you may have to either remove the wires from the switches or short the wires with another bit or wire.
Also which model of bike is it?
Re: Bike Not starting with Electric starter.
If y bypass the green wire (assuming it's the neutral safety switch) by connecting it directly to the battery (-) it does start with starter switch.
By doing so , could i break something? IE having current to the solenoid vs only when it's in neutral?
Is work's for now i guess ;)
But i'm a bit scared haha.
Thanks for your help!
Edit: I have a Konker KPX 250.
