Hello from Shihezi, Xinjiang

Hi y'all I'm Robert, I'm currently living in a small city in the far western province of Xinjiang, teaching English on a 1 year fellowship. I have just recently passed my license test in Chinese, which was a pain in the ass but distinctly satisfying.

I'm originally from Richmond, VA, and the UK before that.

At the moment I'm riding a used modified Honda 250 cc V-Men cruiser, which has gotten me into trouble trying to negotiate muddly mountain roads for which it was definitely never designed for. :diggin:

The riding out here is incredible, and I've only skirted the foothills of the Tian Shan or Heavenly Mountains that go from China into Kazakhstan. I'm hoping to learn a little bit more about riding in China specifics from you guys!:icon10: And I guess I can answer some basic questions about the current situation getting a motorcycle license in China, as well as Xinjiang recommendations
