Hongdou urban dz125

Hi all I bought an urban dz125 as a project but I cannot get it to start, there feels like decent compression, defo has fuel but struggles on spark after originally being fine. Previous owner knocked electrics so have been sorting those tonight( still some to do). Anyway when I try the kickstart the engine goes round there is a slight whooshing noise so I was wondering if best things to change dark plug and I think whoosh is from inlet manifold.

Anyone had similar problems or done up one of these bikes?!

Hi, I have the exact same bike and I had a similar problem. Started fine started riding out of work then just cut out and wouldn't start again, changed the spark plug, cleaned out the carb the basics. Turns out it was the CDI unit so I had to get a new one and fit it.

Yes I know it's a mess of a bike!!

Realised light green and one green is the horn! Also figured out yellow/black and other green is for the ignition coil. Just need to work out how to refit neutral sensor now that previous owner butchered and dunno where it goes...
