Does that price equal over $6,000.00 USD?
The Lifan is a 229cc OHV(14hp) it does not compare to the Torando it has a 249cc OHC (23hp), it just looks like it.
The price in the image trows me off, the comparison of 1/4 the price of the real Honda is nonsense as it is certainly not $24,000.00 USD.
In realty Guatemala does not, to the best of my knowledge have import tariffs, so there really is no good reason for such prices and since it is a relatively impoverished county making that price on the image even less sense, even less sense then the freaking stupid use of decimals and a letter in that price.
I am tired of the strange use of decimals, the price of that Lifan should be about 14,089.00 Quetzal in Guatemala, that converts to $1,800.00 USD.
The cash price for the Lifan comes to about $1500 USD, the Tornado is about $5500. I did not know that the lifan was only 229cc. So does that mean it is an overbored OHV? Is the engine reliable enough and worth the trouble to put in my Honda XR125L? I love that bike's ergos and sturdiness, but I need about 2-4 more hp. You think I can just swap cilinders with the honda engine?
I would not have any problems with that bike for $1,500.00 its more comparable to the NXR150 BROS then the XR250 Tornado.
http://www.honda.mx/motos/bros150fi/ which sells for $3,800.00 in Mexico, which is a ridiculous price.
The Lifan OHV 229cc would have more torque then the BROS 149cc OHC but not much more hp.
