I found an after market radiator mesh guard made specifically for the new CF650 in Australia. http://www.radguard.com.au/
Simple to install, remove plastic guard under the radiator (4 screws), mount the new guard (2 clips on the top and 2 stainless bolts on the bottom), replace plastic.

All done. No more risks of being stuck somewhere with a hole in the radiator.

Funny you thought the same. I ordered an aftermarket no-name brand radiator guard complete with plastic frame far too large for the smaller radiator of the TR, so am in the process of cutting it to fit and reattach the plastic frame to make it look OEM.

Hey Mate looks good. Bought 1 for the NK from Radguard too, great product if a little pricey (paid $170) Bolted onto the horn mount and took seconds to install. Looks the same as yours and good for piece of mind.
I also wanted to do this and bought ER6 radiator guard just to find out it was too small! so now I decided I will make it my self as I have friend who deals with laser cutters.
