A cheap materiel with low thermal conductivity
I suddenly have the urge to stick a load of RGB LEDs all over my bike and I would like to put some underneath the engine, obviously this area is going to get quite hot so I need some sort of material that I can glue between the LED strip and the engine that has a very low thermal conductivity and can withstand a couple hundred degrees without catching fire.
Any ideas on what I can use?

Regular sponge should be enough. If you can glue it, though.
Re: A cheap materiel with low thermal conductivity
I suppose it would be easy to glue as it would absorb the glue but then again if it is saturated with glue (and the water that it will pick up) it might transfer too much heat to the LEDS. Also I would prefer something a bit stronger.
Thanks anyway though.
