High flow air filter for CFMOTO 650NK and TR
So I was having a look at the OEM air filter:

See the shape, so then I tried looking for a replacement thinking a K&N Kawasaki ER6N for around 2006-2008 no luck on the K&N site. So I had a look at some other manufacturers and found this:

Obviously you can see the Kawasaki version has a notch not present on the CFMOTO version. So my thoughts are will spending money on the Kawasaki version be worth it? Cut a piece of plastic and epoxy it, would it fit? Looks like a little bit of modification. Or just put up with the stock filter? Although China is a dirty place and some tiny particles will always find their way past a low grade filter and a dirty injectors are always a possibility.

Or one option is to go and use pod filters like some people have done.

Don't like pods, I've had them on other bikes, they screw with the environmental equipment and the vacuum system. I actually prefer my bike to be greener than have the extra power. Also they can cause some nasty air pressure buffeting.
The last few previous bikes I had I did all that carb rejetting, muffler cutting, clip-on filters including the pretty little crank-case filter, I feel I never gained a thing other than a headache and a slightly nicer exhaust sound.
This time I'm just doing subtle legal upgrades, bar upgrade, filter upgrade, iridium plug upgrade, brake pads, nice tires etc. All legal and environmentally friendly. The cops around here are getting heavy on illegal bikes, if they can find anything illegal about your bike they will, 'cause that's money in their back pocket. :naughty:

Hi Pommie, a quick question. what was the attachment diameter for your crankcase filter? And how did you get around not mounting the MAF sensor on top of your filters
