Which Supermoto?

Hi guys my name is Aaron and I am happy to have found this awesome forum.

I was up all night reading posts on this ...
Anyhooo here is my question if anyone would be kind enough to help.

I am moving to Xi'an in a month and I need a bike. I lived in Yangshuo and had a little 125 scooter and was surprised with how it stood up to getting battered.

I want to get a supermoto. I was looking at the CQR but I know there is also the X2X which looks great and the xtr?!?
I just want to beast around and have the craic on the weekends as I cant go into the city as far as I know
I know Xi'an has no bikes withing the 3rd ring

Should I register? anyone have experience in Xi'an? should I get a bike licence ( Chinese) ?

Realistically if I don't register will I end up in a bamboo cage or what will happen to me ?

Any help would be great sorry its such a long question

Welcome to MCM .

Can't help on the bike side of things , but I can say it is best to get a Chinese DL if not and you can get 14 days in prison ! For driving or riding a bike with out one ! It's a bit of hard work to sort out the paper work but in the end you will be all legal .

Stay away from the Cqr unless you want to spend a lot of time on taobao every week ordering replacement parts and outgrowing it pretty fast. I see princ666 is back after a lengthy hiatus. Cheers.
