Hello guys and gals. I have an issue with my '06 Johnny Pag spyder 250. I need to know what other bike has a similar caliper that I can use for my bike. I need new pads but the caliper is missing some parts. PO didn't do much on maintenance so I'm stuck with the issue. I really don't want to go the dealer route b/c they raped me the first and last time I bought from them so need to see what fits. Will take a pic and post. Thanks and ride safe!!!!!:taz:
Firstly what exactly is missing from the caliper? Also what was wrong with it before?
Anyhow post some pics, but I'm not really aware of exactly what other calipers will fit, I know they are fairly generic, but in this case Rebel 250 or CB250 rear calipers are drum, sounds like a job for a cheaper backstreet mechanic.
Well. The PO had cut up some Suzuki pads for the rear b/c he didn't have the cash for new ones. From what I could see it's missing the "through" bolt at the bottom that holds the pads in place, but that disc is way too close to the caliper. I think it's probably missing some spacer but unsure until I see a factory one. I could rig something up that will work and be safer but rather have the original or some type of replacement. I've been trying to upload some pictures but my dropbox is acting up. As soon as I have it worked out I will post.:riding::thumbsup:
