TaoTao Paladin, can't get seat bucket bolt out
This is a brand new paladin 150. There is one bolt at the rear that I can't get undone. There is something on the other side of it that is spinning but I have no way to access it. Any ideas?

My guess is there is a nut on the other side that was welded but broke loose when they tightened it.
Can't figure out how to get anything behind there and I can't remove the body panels without getting the seat bucket out. :eek2:

Never mind. I managed to pry up the plastic on the other side and jam a box wrench in there. I wedged it between the nut and the bracket then applied as much sideways force as I could to the wrench while turning the bolt up top. Eventually I got it.
It's a 4-sided nut on the other side and it is supposed to be welded to the bracket. Now I'm wondering how to put it back. I wish I had a tiny arc welder although I could probably never get the nut lined up correctly anyway. :rolleyes1:

You could try superglue/epoxy/solder and put light torque on it. I doubt it's that essential, you can probably live without it, I doubt that bucket is going anywhere, bike just might vibrate a bit more.

Yeah I'm going to try one of those plastic trim panel type things that you put in then push a pin through the center to lock it in place. My car uses those to hold all the plastic body work on and it seems to work fine.
