Lexmoto XTRS 125 Indicators

I'm newly registered to mychinamoto, but browsing the forums for a while now; abd I felt like this would be the best place to ask for help.
I have a 2013 Lexmoto xtrs 125 as my first bike, and so far it has been faultless.
I have been looking at replacing the indicators on it as my brother accidentally broke them off. Instead of getting original stock indicators I have been looking at replacement SMD LED indicators from the CMPO website.

I know that in the description it says that a resistor or relay may be needed, but is this really necessary.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
