Welcome to here! Is your new bike made by Bashan? It looks like the Explode 250! I read a thread on horizonsunlimited in which a guy riding all over Africa met up with his friend from Europe in SA. His friend bought a Bashan Explode 250 and the three of them (the original poster's girlfriend was on the back of his bike, a Suzuki DR650) rode from Capetown to Zanzibar. The only issue the guy on the Chinese bike had was his chain stretched and stretched, and they couldn't figure out where to get a replacement for the last 1600 or so kms. The guy sold his bike in Dar es Salaam and flew back to Europe, but proved that the Chinese bikes aren't as dodgy as they used to be.
