Dong Fang 250 RTB Starter Motor

Any DF250 owners ever had problems with the electric ignition coil? I recently pulled the wiring box apart to diddle with the blinker relay which was acting up, put everything back (got the blinkers working again) and then just a whine and clicking coming from the ignition coil. What I am wondering is if this needs to be replaced, whether I'm just an idiot, or if it will take some sort of more easily accessible replacement motor? I think I'm just an idiot and fucked something up in there, because it was starting just fine.

Also, while Im here..anyone have trouble with the clutch being a bit sticky after riding a while? I'm finding it very difficult to easily find neutral at the lights. It wants to sink down to first, then upon clutch release, it wants to seize up and takes a bit of hammering up with the ol foot to get it in gear. I love this bike, but for not even having a 1000 miles on her yet, she's being quite the bitch. Any help, advice would be greatly appreciated.
