CF MOTO V3 engine stalls when open throttle
Hi, I have 2007 V3 that's been running with no problems until yesterday. The engine quit on freeway. Restarts and idles like a champ, but dies as soon as I touch the throttle. Checked vacuum lines and the rubber manifold that holds carb to the engine - all good. Checked the choke - good. Any ideas? Fuel pump? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Well, it isn't a fuel pump or anything in fuel lines - checked. Going for the carb tonight. Will take it apart and check.

Mine would idle, rev good and ride good under 30-35 mph, but hit 35 and it was sluggish and start to cut out like miss and buck like a horse, it was the spark plug gap. Gapped too wide, would barely run gapped too close, but runs good now gapped correctly.

After two days and a complete disassemble/reassemble of the bike, the problem was found and fixed! And, it was literally the last thing I could think of - the muffler. Everything's corroded inside and blocked the exhaust. As soon as I took it off, the engine ran with no problem at any rpm. Opened up the pipe at the tail end, got rid of all the rusty crap, repacked it with steel wool for now until I find a new exhaust - runs like a champ now!
