HERALD 450 SCRAMBLER -ROTTWEILER
Re: HERALD 450 SCRAMBLER -ROTTWEILER
Whoa!
Who would thought that you can make something else than purebred enduro on that frame.
Re: HERALD 450 SCRAMBLER -ROTTWEILER
I doubt that these will make it to the market, I just do not think that people will spend that much for them. They would need to be for about 1500 pounds less.

All of Heralds offerings are sourced out of Shandong Province, for example Herald offers a Qingqi 250 scrambler at a 1750 premium over bascically the same Sinnis version. Its obvious that manufactures and their agents are cooperating in that region, Asiawing and Qingqi/Pioneer.
These specifically are based on Asia Wing 450 dirt bikes. Not a bad idea, except the pricing is just too high, they would need a larger distribution and in that more significant production. In other word get the costs down or they will not get much traction in the market.

"too exspensive nobody will buy them"?

Asiawing products are sold in the USA under SSR and CCW. As so are the Jinan Qingqi Products, the Herald 250cc Mutt is out of Qingqi.

and with that engine...that engine is not really intended for street use.
Every six races or 15 hours of operation
Re: HERALD 450 SCRAMBLER -ROTTWEILER
That frame takes a Zongshen NC250, the NC450 might be a better and more cost effective engine for these.

That’s true, Honda now offers the engine with a three mode switch, standard, smooth and aggressive. For the R versions, the X version have carburators.

Honda Unicam® Engines
Re: HERALD 450 SCRAMBLER -ROTTWEILER
This dealer site of Asiawing in France states that Asiawing makes the 450 engine under a license?
Asiawing utilise des moteurs sous license d’un gros constructeur pour ces 450cc, that may be true?
The Unicam was a new engine in 2002, Honda has a line of them from 150cc to 450cc.
If Honda sold a license to Asiawing which they may have it likely has limits as in them not being allowed to call it a Honda or to advertise the agreement, which would be the same?
