New Yorker in Beijing
Hi everyone,
Greetings from Beijing, moved here 2 years ago. Riding a BMW f650CS for the past 1.5 year here, properly plated and registered. :icon10:
Used to ride a F650 GS in NY, small and nibble for the city, but not for anything too far. The bike is still sitting at home waiting for me, although I am thinking of trading up.

pennstlong,
good to have another rider in BJ. Looking forward to see you at the next biker gathering some time soon.
If you are looking for a riding partner, you are welcome :riding:
Cheers

Penn,
We had an exchange over on F650.com. I'm down in Shanghai today, working my way slowly north on the tourist track.
I'll be arriving up in Beijing on about the 3rd of June. Glad to share a beer when I get up there. I'm hoping to meet the other MCM "regulars" if they have another meet-and-greet while I'm up there.
Cheers,
Dan K.

Hi Dan,
Welcome to China! When you get settled in in Beijing, let's catch up and share a few beers.

Penn, how is the bike? It seems that everyone here says that anything over 250cc's is difficult to ride in China. Just wondering...
Hope to read and see photos of another MCM get together!

I had some help getting the bike registered and properly documented.
Like anything in China, there are exceptions to the rule. There are plenty of 250CC+ bikes here in Beijing.
There is a MCM meet tonight at Franks, I am sure there will be new pictures. Beautiful day in Beijing today.
