QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Though I'd start a new thread on the center stand that Luis Carlos found at
http://www.motorfans.com.cn/bbs/t_16927271.htm
and
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9712042796
I tried ordering via taobao FOCUS at http://taobaofocus.com/order
as jape suggested but so far have not been able to get registered there and am waiting for an email back from them.
humanbeing suggested the following which I do not understand
"Contact method of that seller : http://member1.taobao.com/member/use...23c0e1813e.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tencent_QQ/ 先锋藏獒 in that t_16927271.htm/ His surname is Sòng (宋) . Pioneer domestic sales guy.
Most Qingqi/ Pioneer parts seller are in Shandong. If need someone from here to help, a nearer person (Beijing to Shanghai) is better. http://shipping.ebay.cn/ had many suggestion option for int'l shipping. You can compare "TB agents" rate to that shipping page. Some agent are... sharks :mwink:"
Anyway I would appreciate some help trying to order this center stand.
95 yuan = $15 USD?
Thanks

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
hb,
Thanks for the info. Could you be my agent and contact the seller for the weight?

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
I think I ordered the cs with Focus.

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
So far the center stand has cost me $23usd with the price, commission, and local shipping. Great deal but the killer will be air mail to the USA and will probably be two or three times the cost of the CS.

Dear Barnone,
Great experiment. As a control, I just googled for a center stand for a KLR650. OK, it's a bigger bike, but it's also renowned for the frugality of its owners (including me), so you'd have no market for an overpriced stand. And, like the Qingqi, it comes without a stock center stand. If you want one, there's no choice but aftermarket. The aftermarket stand that seems most widely used for the KLR650 is the SW-Motech, and it sells on the web for $139, before tax and shipping/handling.
So by that measure, even if you end up spending $50 or even $75 for air freight, you are in for $100 or less -- still well below what you'd pay buying "locally". And I'd be that Motech stand is made in China, too!
cheers

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
euphonius,
I have an after market center stand on my XT225 which I think cost me $150 so I am not complaining about the cost.
http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x85/Skeekah/CS7.jpg
If the CS works someone might want to order a bunch on sea/ground transportation if there is enough demand. The base price of the center stand is around $15.
-
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Now I think I am waiting for the CS to be received at Taobao Focus and then the postage to the USA will be billed to me.
-
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Focus status is now "Order status: ordered We have bought all items and waiting to receive in our warehouse."
Slow as molasses.
-
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Took them two weeks to process the order, impressive. I hope you weren't expecting your stuff before 2012...
-
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Focus is kind of slow.:lol8:
AIR MAIL Parcel weight: 2 kg
45.19 USD
As expected the air mail is a lot more than the item.
A 95 RMB ($14.54 USD) center stand is costing me $68 USD total.
But like euphonius and I replied earlier, it's still a good deal assuming it will work for me.

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Well my center stand is finally leaving China to head to the USA. I ordered it on 3/25 and it is now 4/11 so Focus is kinda slow. Maybe there is a faster way because it seems kinda silly to pay $45 for airmail when it takes 17 days to get it from Taobao to Focus.
Anyway if the CS works out I will be happy. $68 is much better than the $150 I paid for my XT225 CS.

Barnone,
Actually, $45 doesn't sound like a raw deal, given that this thing is made of metal and traveling 12 time zones or so. I pay nasally for homebrewing supplies, and bear the cost because drinking swill is worse than drinking nothing at all. Another way to look at it is this: Unless you are handy with a torch, I don't think you could have fabricated this stand yourself for less than what you are paying. Final hurdle will be whether US customs dings you for some import duty on the US$14.54 part. I've not heard anything about punitive trade-war tariffs on chinabike center stands, so you should be good to go...
Let us know when she lands. It'll be good to see a full end-to-end Taobao Focus transaction.
cheers

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
jkp,
Yeah, I should not be bitching except for the 17 days from Taoboa to Focus. Anyway if the CS works out and there is demand in the USA for them, someone like CC could order in volume and ship at low coast like he did with the rear racks for the Q.

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
The center stand arrived today, only took a month from order to delivery in the USA.:rolleyes1:
Slow boat from China?
Looks very nice as far as build and paint goes.

It was easy enough to install but is going to take some modification because it does not rock back far enough to allow the front wheel to touch the ground and the back wheel to be up off the ground.
If you try and push the front wheel down, the Q falls forward off the center stand.
I think I need to lower the metal pegs that control the amount of rock back or bend the legs but I need to study it some more.

Right now I would not recommend the center stand but maybe a small tweak will fix it for me.

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
can you post the dimensions for those who want to buil it locally?
and closer pictures of the mounting points and the position of the stand when retracted.
thankyou

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Good photos at
http://www.motorfans.com.cn/bbs/t_16927271.htm
There is no way you can build this center stand locally for $80 plus I don't think it is fair for me to measure it and send you the dimensions. I failed to show a machined piece that fits in the pivot part.
Here is a simpler one to copy.

Just a little curious about this statement. Are you saying that it wouldn't be fair to you or the manufacturer of the stand?
-
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Fair to the manufacturer of the stand. They spent quite a bit of time engineering the center stand.

Good one HB! For the non chinese readers, you probably guessed it but it says inner diameter of that tube is 10mm.
That's actually a very good thread. If you read on to pages 3 and 4, have a look at the exhaust he builds and the matching spare fuel tank. Amazing shit, i want that guy to build me one too!
-
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
I agree with you, Felix. Nice stuff there. The tank and exhaust are the shit! I'm curious about the cap as I can only just see a bit of it. I have some questions and can't understand the posts after I translated it . I see the oiler cooler on the left side on page 4. I've never seen a cooler added with having to install the copper block outs that he did, though. Was there a reason for this? On the last page, it looks like he thought better of his design and re-routed the lines with a new oil filter cap. Is that true?
Why is there wire through the carb jet?
Couple of other observations are that this version of the Qingqi motard gets a rear disk and rubber passenger pegs. I've never seen the fake air directing shrouds that large either.

Sorry, didn't see SRB which I assume is Serbia. Anyway maybe supertimmy will take some photos and post them here with dimensions.
