Western MA really got wrecked. Here in the city it was an impressive lightning show. Scary weather all around man.

I made the same mistake, its supposed to be a quart esp if you are using a thick oil like the B&G sheer power
It was a little bit better today. Still had trouble in 5th but I didn't lose speed, just wouldn't go any faster. I'm going to check the plug before heading out in the morning and check for any intake leaks. All the wires seem to be in place and tight.
Checked the plug and it looked ok, could be better but ok. Didn't find an intake leak. When I just took it out it seemed to have less power than earlier. Mighty have just been cold though.
Did a little maintenance tonight, chain care. Cleaned, lubed and tightened. I think I'm going to ride it to work for the first time tomorrow, should be nice and brisk (50F).
What mods have you done? Is it down on power all over or still just @55 in 5th gear?
Sounds like could be starving for fuel? Check the fuel filter or even junk in the petcock. Try loosening the gas cap next time it happens too.
Have you messed with carb adjustments at all? Was there anything you changed recently just before you noticed this problem?
All I've done with it is, adjust the air fuel adjustment screw, change the oil and remove the kick stand safety switch wires. Yesterday was my first chance to go at those speeds due to no mc license. What type of oil should I be running? I put in Castrol 4 stroke oil 20w50. I'll try messing with air fuel mix again.
I haven't been on the site in a while, been very busy. Just finished a "Custom Blue" Heist. Here is a photo and a link to more!

Now Thats what I'm talking about.
looking good there ktm!
That video is pretty sweet Gardo, can't wait to see more of it.
I rode in to work this morning for the first time (the weather and having to wear a suit to work everyday makes it difficult). It was only 45F when I left the house, pretty cold ride in. Still waiting for my balls to come back out of my stomach. Pretty sure I'm speaking an octave higher right now too, but it was still fun. Ride home should be much better, mid-70's
Turner, I now keep a suit hanging in my office, 2 shirts and shoes. I walk in looking like, well me when I'm not at work. Then change in my office. My admin knows that if my door is closed before 9am, dont walk in. :lol8:
I wish I could get away with that, but they're so strict on dress code here. It's suits everyday (M-Th) and business casual (khakis + dress shirt) on Friday. I don't think they'd take too kindly to the same suits day in and out. Maybe I need to leave public accounting and go to private industry where the dress code is more relaxed (and pay is usually better). The downside with the private sector is you pretty much have the same job every month, I think I'd get bored pretty quickly
You Heist commuters got it made! What a great way to start the day.
My commute is less than a mile. I pedal bike it instead.
On occasion I have rushed home at lunch to take the heist out for a neighborhood shredding. How good it feels to sit in a meeting at 2 knowing you just set off a whole side street of car alarms.
I dont ride in everyday, but my office is a bit more relaxed, the commuting cost would cut into my margins man. LoL the ride to work is a treat for me or as I tell the wife 2 hours of therapy for 20dollars a day :icon10:
We are on summer dress now Polo's and dockers, and depending on my calendar and meeting maybe a suit. I'm in finance in NYC on the tech side being an ubber geek has its privileges
Yeah it was a 45 minute commute this morning for me on the bike, because I took backroads into the office. If I'm in my car I'll take the main highway in and it's just 25 minutes or so.
That's good that you can get home for lunch so easily though Kevin, I'd probably do the same thing if I were closer to the house
I'm about 20 miles from my office, I do it all on the highway with the bike, including going through the Lincoln tunnel into NYC takes me about 35 - 40 minutes depending on traffic.
Kev, the best is when a vendor comes in for a meeting and I catch them staring at my hat and boots
Looks like I my have a bad tank. Pit is going to try to get one packed up before UPS shows. When I get the tank on I'll clean the lines, filter and carb.
Sorry to hear that lewnor
My bike kept stalling on the way home, then finally died
Yup, I pulled a Gardo and ran out of gas :(
Thankfully a kind biker picked me up and took me to the gas station and back, he loved my bike too! :D
Nice Turner did you look cute in your suit getting picked up by a strange man. LoL Pulling a Gardo... the new term in running out of gas. Iin a strange way I like that ;p
So I was with Weaver all day and hung out at PIT got to ride the bike in the video and let me tell you that machine is wicked fast and pulls like a bat out of hell. Really cool mod. And got to play with some other toys he is experimenting with. The man is a mad genius
So while I was there I got my new airbag suspension installed, the bike feels like a soft tail now. The Carb got its final adjustment and I'm running 45 on the pilot 104 on the main. Weaver should me how he customizes these carbs and it is so much more than a rejet. the bike is sooooo smooth through all the shifts and kept offering me more power. did a few other things to the bike. But she purrs like a tiger and roars like a lion.
I have two more mods that I will be doing completely cosmetic and she is done
I'll take a few pictures tomorrow and post them

Do tell. Did he say what brand of jet he gets. I'm out of work and if I can do this stuff myself, it means i didn't spend money.
Turner He does, and for what he does to these carbs its cheap 100 bucks.
i feel ya man spent 10 hrs finishing the new door I had to cut a hole into the porch for the wife, storm door and new steps and fabricate mounts for an awning that needed to be cut down to fit the storm door. what a PIA that was. But i got 2 hrs of riding tonight. i get home and she looks at me "Home already?" i knew i should have stayed out longer LoL

Here's the latest update on the Widow. All the mods were done by Weaver Rides.
Looks, sounds great Gardo!
I got out for 3 hours with my old man today...ass is so sore, haha. Time for one of those air cushions. We put about 150 miles on our bikes today, rode like a champ! Lots of beautiful scenery here in NE Ohio! Lots of sun too, arms and legs got a bit burnt well worth it though.
i used to wear cyclist shorts for long rides 50+ miles or more. 10mm seated cushion that also protect the boys. Got it from Amazon. Made a world of difference.
Also guys get a kidney belt, weight belt, or back brace. I wear mine for every ride.
the new airbag is so much more comfortable. and I dont get bounced around like I used to the ride, took a little getting used to (like 2 minutes). the only thing that I didnt like about it, the price.
Also hit 82 (GPS) today, when i went to my buddy's place to check out the 68 BSA he's building. Fraking awesome the bike went 60 to 70 with no hesitation.
working on editing a few of ride videos from today will share when they are done.
Here's one that i just finished up
