Thanks. With our exposed chain anyone tried a stainless chain. Stays good looking & strong.
Sorry about that, in the past used a nickle not stainless. Costs too much for me now.
What type have you guys used to improve? i.e. regular, o-ring, X-ring
Thanks for not making fun of my stainless suggestion (available only as a bracelet)
TODAY I'm driving with trailor to pick up my DF250! Picture soon.
I read some where that the piston rings are old school (cast) and need additional break in. Urban or real truth?
You should see the fun a Corvette Forum is having with our MFG name DONG. Lots of one liners.
Ever sense I purchased (payed not received yet) I tell my friends & they always ask which one, I freeze.
What do you answer? Dong Fang...DF250...Bubba Bobber....China Bike... ????
ben2go,
That HF chain breaker is the tool I used and it worked just fine.
Watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uTpSWkBiYA on how to use it.
As near as I can find out Dong Fang means The East so you could say The East Bobber. I say Dong Fang.
Yesterday a Harley guy dressed up like a pirate with his do rag on asked if it was a Norton. I said " Man how did you know, it is a 1932 model Norton". I told him that I had to get a set of Wentworth tools to work on it. He went away all puffed up and happy as a pig in s**t.
Barnone, you are correct. Dongfang aka 东方 means The East. And it's not pronounced dahng as the snickerers are in that 'vette forum, but doohng fahng, which sounds nothing like slang for a certain male appendage.
Now that is funny. Closed my eyes and ran the movie in my head several times. Wish I'd been there to witness this!
thanks for making my day!
Barnone
How did the tach do today?
Tach did fine but I left my GPS in Florida(duh) so don't have any accurate speed/rpm numbers. I'll see if I can borrow a GPS to get corrected MPH. Seems that the last time I checked the MPH with my GPS it was optimistic about about 8% or so. I did get it up to 7900 RPM in forth gear. Not any straight runs around here.
I'll take a run down to the four lane about twenty miles away to see what RPM she will pull in fifth gear in a couple of days.
