the secret is to not use logic in a logic free zone:lol8:
The Shanghai / Pudong shop shown on the attached business card shifts apparently the largest volumes of Shineray bikes in greater Shanghai region.
Might be worthwhile to give them a call to check and enquire about the X5 or they might be able to point you in the right direction about Beijing Shineray X5 dealers / distributors....

Yesterday I had test driven a Shineray X5.
Have to say, the test bike was at least 1 1/2 years old and obviously neglected.
However, it still could give some ideas about built quality.
I heard additional that the latest manufactured models have increased quality level.
positives:
a) all in all processing is quite well, especially with regards to frame welding seams
b) I found an excellent processed aluminum swing arm (hopefully the material is also sufficient)
c) recognizable display even in sunlight from behind
d) taim engine with enough torque and 30HP, somewhat reluctantly turning over 6000RPM
e) good Kenda tires
f) big tank (19L if I'm not mistaken)
g) in my opinion a comfortable seat in width & padding
h) nice sound of dual exhaust
i) brakes are OK, but could be a bit more aggressive
j) front and rear adjustable suspension elements
negatives
k) cast aluminum parts for passenger footrests too weak (see broken left hand side)
l) tank sticker gettting lose at the corners.
Seat height I guess is approx 85cm with good upright sitting posture. (I'm 186cm tall)
IMO nice & lightweight bike as a touring bike completely sufficient if its proven to be reliable.
I brought up easily to 95 / 100km/h but was limited as I tested it on a city road.
In TaoBao I found crash guard & Alu-cases
I am going to buy one and keep you updated

great looking bike! hope the quality is good.
I think its good looking too. Would like to have it ;)
In China they think Shineray is not one of the best quality bikes. Not like Haojue, Bentian, Zongshen and a few others.
Here some pics of the new bike in the showroom in BJ. My apologies for the photo quality. Some parts that previously weren't are coated/painted now: swing arm, exhaust cans, heat shield, luggage rack and foot pegs.
Tires are the Kenda K761's

its a good looking bike but i bet it weighs a ton.
They seem to have subscribed to "lets make it better by adding more stuff"
Any congrats to those who have bought one and i hope it goes well for you
Btw. Shineray is disliked by chinese riders because the bike only has an english name
