It has fins only on one side, here is its data sheet.

There is no doubts - this is air cooled engine, but I mentioned this one because of motor head. This is new detail, and exactly this catch my eye. I would like to take a peek into this head.
Also, I see some alterations (comparing to standard "Honda" based "small bore" horizontals) on a left crankcase/cover, around electric starter, but it seem to me that they kept old "Honda's" valvetrain and oil pump drive with shaft protruded through crankcase. Plus, it looks that "Zong" moved clutch assembly from crankshaft to the mainshaft (which is great thing), but this we already seen on many "big bore" horizontals or even on Indian "Hero's" horizontals.
CSC is offering these at an introductory price, http://www.cscmotorcycles.com/CSC-TT-250-s/275.htm
They do not have the specs correct on the engine, http://www.zse.cc/productsdetail.asp...ProductsID=416
They overstate hp and understate the torque?
For the asking price they should have used the CBB250 engine.

The first time I looked at the TT250 I thought it had an OHC, but guess not. CSC does not have EPA approval on the TT250 yet, not to worry though the OHV 229cc engine has been brought over in allot of other models.
Its a nice dual sport and it is realatively cheap.

Lowered price on the ZS250GS-3

15,300.00 CNY = 2,335.45 USD
There are a few other models that have that same Zongshen NC250 engine, these are also selling for 15800 RMB.
Zongshen has modularized the NC250 engine into three of it own branded models; the RX3 and the Z250GS-3, 3A (Thunder and Lighting)
The modularization expands into other manufactures, the engine as a standard component part of these. They all share the NC250 with Delphi EFI.

Any of these for about $2,500.00 is a bargain, if the manufactures can makes a profit at these prices this is then the correct price point for the NC250 offerings. The best way to address any QC issues is a warranty. The best way to drive sales is registering sales and posting surveys of registered owners online with the sales numbers.
Zongshens new offerings will be first a 350cc version for the RX3, that will be followed by an RX5 that will have their NC450 single, then they intend to offer a 500cc twin version that will be their RX7.
Quite interesting bikes for China market, anyone know how reliable is the NC250 engine + Delphi injection??
Thanks!!
