After almost 5000 posts this is probably not a new question, but does anyone know the actual unloaded seat height of these? Specs say 32" but I've seen some posts where the seat looks much lower. I know it depends on rider weight, but, how much does maybe a 175 to 200 lb rider drop the seat?
Thanks for your input. I'm tall enought that it soesn't really matter. I just prefer a lower ride. You know, part of it instead of on top of it.
Thanks for the info. Had a Corbin seat on my Valk and it sat great, but I couldn't use it in the TX summer cause it had less padding and sat lower than stock and that 6 cylinder engine threw up a lot of heat. Off subject a little, but I see the DF has gone up to where it's pretty close in price to Tha Heist.

Added a tool roll to the front and removed the top box from the rack.
Gotta can of fix a flat in the tool roll.
Anybody Slime their tires?
Barnone, it looks like the fender rack is made of square tubing and wood? Looks good. Since my B model hasn't arrived yet, I was wondering if the fenders are steel and how strong is the fender brace? I found a removeable P-pad that I liked the look of, but it would only be cosmetic.
Roadkill,
The fender are steel and appear to be very strong. I can sit on the rack. I might install some passenger pegs and put a chain shield so that I can carry a passenger for short rides. Also I can mount a top box or a milk crate on the rack for carrying things. I still might mount some ammo cans for saddle bags.
There is a problem with some DFs with the rear of the fender being too low and causing the tire to rub on the taillight wiring and destroying it. To avoid this problem I installed a spacer and longer bolt at the front mounting point and straightened the fender support rods to rotate and raise the fender a bit. Attachment 14798
Be sure and check the rear fender clearance initially and each time you adjust the chain.
The rack is some short pieces of the DF crate angle iron, Black Walnut and Cherry wood.
The front mounting hole was where the red reflectors were mounted so I put some red reflective tape on the angle iron. There are some short tube spacers in the front mounting bolts.

Also I just installed a rear mud flap to hopefully reduce the mud and water thrown up on my back when I ride in the rain and mud. I'm going to put one on the front fender too.
Another project is to install bar end turn signals like I did on my ex 2010 DF.
I thinking about putting Slime in my tubeless DF tires?
Opinions or experience?

Thanks for the info. Changing the topic a little but here goes. My background with Chinese clones is scooters, but some parts might also work with the DF. www.scrappydogscooters.com/ has a performance DC CDI that is designed for Honda clones that might work for the DF? I think they alter the timing curve and there is no rev limiter. They also carry a 30mm performance carb kit. I've used the carb on my 150cc trike and am impressed with it. It has the electric enricher instead of the manual choke. I understand that the B version has a 30mm carb already? The carb change would only be for reliability and ease of getting needles if needed. It would also let me remove the choke control and clean up the bars a little.
Roadkill,
All the DFs comes with a Deni PZ30 pumper carb with accelerator pump so I think it is a good item. No problem getting jets, etc. although the 2012 DF jetting seems to be fine.
If you want you can eliminate the choke cable and just use the lever on the carb.
I had to replace my stock air filter with a free-er flowing one to eliminate high rpm sputtering.

I think this was it.

I have a "racing" CDI which I have not tried yet but will report the results. A different advance curve might help.
Well then that saves me a bunch on the carb. No fuel pump so that leaves CDI, Coil and Plug. I always change out the fuel filter and hoses also. Thanks.
This is recommened for high speed in motorcycles. Motorcycle Tire Sealant | Scooters Tire Sealant | Motorcycle Formula (MOT) - Ride-On
Slime is for low speed bicycles etc.
I use slime in my p/u trucks and it is spec'd for them.
Wow, I need to catch up... I haven't been able to ride in a while. I left off last year at message 3634, and the bike has been sitting. Now I need to bleed brakes to get back in the game.
Hey folks...Drewfinn jumpin in. Been savin my nickles and dimes and Im almost halfway to affording a rtb-a from Scooterfolks.com,just waitin on taxtime. Has anyone done a jockey shift on one of these puppies?
Here is one on a CCW Heist which has the same type engine as the DF. The clutch lever is moved to the jockey shift.

I really like the shift mounted clutch lever on that CCW...something to think about. Axa- did you find akit somewhere or were you working from scratch? Also, being in NY myself, did you have any real issue with the DMV?
