Well if it's any consolation, I am about the same height and weight...

And I think well my 1930's + 45 Harley was about the same size...... (basket case built into a real motorcycle.) But this is under half the weight, gets about 4 X as far per liter and has a 40Kmh higher top speed.

Yes it could do with a bigger tank as in rural Australia a 200 - 250K round trip is a local drive - to the nearest anywhere.

I had much to do with Phil Irving and the Vincents - and they were about the same size only about 20cm lower at the top of the handle bars and all - a very small 1000cc bike with a 150MPH speedo.

My main concern is to make the seat sit up HIGHER and tilted forward, with more cushioning and more springing to hold me up....

But size being what it is, it's SMALL, LIGHT, easy to push - turn off the engine and take it all sorts of places - like on the foot path up one way streets - even with a flat rear tyre.....

And in the really quiet back single lane back roads where people drive like farmers and city drivers hit trees and wild life - in fouth gear it runs quite nicely at 60-70Kmh...

I am a little bit less than impressed with the customer service from Cleveland Motorcycle Works.

The reasons:

The bike shop I bought the bike from, can't supply a workshop manual or a parts list.

The distributor at info@clevelandcyclewerks.com.au won't supply a workshop manual or a parts list.

Cleveland Motorcycle Works at Tech@clevelandcyclewerks.com both has not replied and won't supply a workshop manual or a parts list.

And the motor manufacturer at sales@motor-rhon.com won't supply a workshop manual.

I have been building my own bikes since I was 12 years old...

First ever motorbike I built - a 45 Harley basket case motor, and the full work shop and parts manual came with it....

Ever since then I have always had the full workshop manuals for all bikes...

Cleveland Motorcycles? Everything to do with their bikes is met with a stone wall of the silent treatment.

As a builder of 45 Harleys - my first ever bike, the vibration issue - well because I am so good at what I do, my bolts never ever unscrewed from vibration.

But thA Hoist? That dumps mud guard bolts and nuts like fleas jumping off a dog with flea powder.

I know how to fix it... and I am awaiting the nearest bolt shop to open as today is a public holiday.... so this is 2 days away.

But I am more annoyed that such an incredibly bad design has been put to market, with some major flaws in it, and no one has ever bothered to fix it.

I see a disparity between "Over a 160,000 Km (or 100K miles) of testing" the PR machine spews... and that the rear mudguard started losing bolts within about 60Km.... on a new bike that the dealer had thread locked all the nuts and bolts up - and it has lost 4 out of 6 of them... which is tolerated until I could fully service it with the appropriate design changes.

So the company PR - which has a very obvious problem, which has not been fixed, to me the 160,000Km of testing, on the basis of how many nuts and bolts that have vibrated loose or come out - despite regular retightening and or loosing and replacing, that means the rear mudguard must have fallen off at least 80,000 times, cut up and rubbed away 2000 back tyres and lost about 960,000 bolts and nuts.

So call bullshit on their 3 or 4 years of product testing and evaluation - they should NOT be dropping rear mud guards.

And the corporate silent treatment about getting workshop manuals and parts lists?

Not acceptable.

They - the afore mentioned - the Victoria Australia Distributor, the CCW technical dept, the factory in China, they have all had plenty of time to respond and supply - and they have this put on their face book page as well - still no response...

Their silent treatment rubs me up the wrong way.

I am new to the forum here and also a first time bike owner... I have always had dirt bikes and atv's but never a street bike.

Anyways, I just purchased a 2010 heist from a local on craigslist and I love the bike...it looks killer, and runs great. It has 1800 miles on it. There is just one thing that I do not like and that's with the forward controls. The foot pegs are not solid and do not stay flipped right side up, they roll upside and the pegs then want to fold in facing the ground? Has anyone had this issue and what could I do to solve it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have any of you been trapped in the rain On their heist? I was out on the bike last night and I got trapped out in the rain. Im a little concerned about water that might have gotten in through the mesh air filter. Should I change the oil out as a preventative measure in case water reached the crank case?

Got to ask, i don't understand why someone put a jockey shift while leaving the clutch in place. How the hell do you shift?
Am I the only one noticing this?

By the way I wouldn't freak out about some rain hitting the filter.
That said I don't drive these Chinese bikes in the rain... Ever.
Chrome will pit, other metal will rust.
Not worth it to me.

Hi All,

Just in the process of buying a Heist and will pick it up next week if all goes to plan.

The folks at Rocker Classic Motorcycles have been a great help and have carried out a few mods for me.

I'll post some photos when I get her home.

I took it for a spin around the neighborhood and got stopped by a bloke who wanted to have a look at the bike and then showed me his 66' Triumph Bobber in his garage.

Sure is a nice way to meet the neighbors.
