Re: CCW tha Heist
Yeah I got my first ride in this evening before we loaded them up. Definitely need to make seat adjustments, etc. Funniest story of the night, we're on the highway heading home, it's POURING down rain and a SUV pulls up next to us and signals for me to. Roll the window down. I figured a strap came loose, or something was wrong with the bikes in the back. Anyways, roll the window down and he wants to know the make/model of the bike!

Thumbs up guys! Glad to hear your story and look forward to seeing what you make of the bikes.
Here's my recent "rearrange" of the turn signals...

Also, Tom Weaver modded my carb for the Keihin Pilot jets, have to get out today and play with it. AWESOME. I've got a few pilots and mains to start messing with...
Enjoy everyone and be safe!

Re: CCW tha Heist
Looking good there Kevin!
It rained here damn near all day, but for two glorious hours this afternoon it was at a standstill. I got my bike out, made some adjustments and went on a ride. Put about 25 miles on it before the rain started up. I put the seat in the last position, that was a mistake, scratched my fender from bouncing :(. I tried waxing and buffing it out, no luck, too deep. So I moved the seat forward a slot to prevent further scratching.
Rides went well, need more practice, first gear was tough at first, but I'm getting there. I don't think I had the bike over 40mph today. Wanted to start slow and focus on the basics.

Turner, you will get it and i do suggest even when you get your endorsement that you and your brother should do the motorcycle safety course.

Re: CCW tha Heist
This is what sets CCW, PITMotorsLTD apart. In collaboration with the Weaver Group, they introduce the military Heist in honor of our troops who have and are currently serving

Re: CCW tha Heist
I don't see how a sales gimmick sets them apart. Makes them the same as any other people that exploit the concepts of honour, patriotism, service, war and death. Not impressed.

Re: CCW tha Heist
hmm, a chinese motorbike, sold as "american" is meant to honor the american troops - you guys above the big water are strange :confused1:

Re: CCW tha Heist
Should have mentioned the the bikes were Commissioned by Veterans Hope which is an Outreach to Veterans and their families.
Good Org doing Great things.
My whole family is military past and present. Mom , dad and the old man are all Veterans as well as a slew of uncles and I grew up an Army brat.
I've been around it all my life and can see how someone or someones can only see a gimmick, I see good stuff being done
and Andre, you have no idea how strange we can get lol

Re: CCW tha Heist
my brother had actually looked into maybe getting one of those, as he served in the Army. He's now considering getting a paint job that may be firefighter themed since that's his career now. Gimmick or not, I think the bikes look incredible.
I have a friend who does vinyl work, I was thinking of having him mock something up for my bike, cheaper than a paint job and if I get sick of it I can just remove it. I have no experience with vinyl decals, are they easily applied/removed? Any effects on the paintjob to take into consideration?

Re: CCW tha Heist
finally got the bike out for a 30 mile or so ride today. I gotta say that I loved riding it! We got a few hour break in the shitty weather where the roads were dry and I took advantage. Can't wait for it to warm up a bit though, I froze my ass off.
