on the battery topic, while to doubt these are cheap batteries, im on 1.5 years and 1500 miles, and have to do a combo starter/bump start all the time... I want to put a nice small lithium iron battery but am hesitant.
i've bench tested 2 R/R, and found while they regulate, they do not produce a well rectified DC component from the stator.
I'm waiting for some confirmation from the hoard on this.
But right now I assume any battery will not be well maintained over the long term with a bunch of short energy bursts as it receives with this R/R.
I'm guessing no battery will last as long as it would have with a better generator.
but again what do I know.
I made a big long post about how great it was to convert to an fho12aa regulator, how I did it, and it didn't post.Oh well.
no sweat. here's a good one:

I can't believe no one knows where to get a direct bolt on clutch cable for these Chinese Bobbers. Right ? Or am I wrong ?
You must Look at the engine number. The first signs are engine Type for example 157FMI is an one cylinder 125. Then you must search for parts for this engine. It must not be dongfang. You can tak parts from lifan or other
this i know is the proper procedure for finding most (engine) parts for these Chinese clones, but im curious how a clutch cable would be found, arent there so many differnt kinds of bikes that need various lengths on a 167fmm? ATVs use it, these bobbers use it, these boobers with ape hangers use it... there must be numerous different lengths
Thats my biggest problem. Most vendors these days are to sorry/lazy to actually check and list the dimensions of their product anymore. They just slap it on the net and let you struggle all day cross referencing and looking all over the place just to buy the wrong part in the end . because you could never get a detailed discription of what they are selling. All they have o do is post the darn length for the most part.
Didn't Barnone post a parts list for the DF250 that listed the P/N for the clutch cable?I'm sure it's here but may require a search.
Here is the parts listing for the 2010 DF250RTB but will probably not do anyone any good.

Sorry, i misunderstand the question. I thought that he needs this lever in engine where the cable is mount.
I have bought for my Quinjing an universal cable. It is common here in Poland to have a universal set in motorcycle bag. The universal cable is for throtle so as for clutch.

Great idea. I found and ordered a kit at

Thanks fellas, I did end up finding a Cable just for the China Bobber. I'm not even going to tell anybody where it is. Because they may actually buy the over priced Chinese substandard cable (broke in 1800 miles) . They had the nerve to ask $35 US for not so great Chinese clutch cable for the bobber. I ended up digging in my motorcycle junk and Using a cable lock I had in a part drawer and making a nice looking stronger tan stock repair.
Good price on that very complete universal cable kit Barnone. I will get one for next time. The Polish version is a bit out of reach that Benimin82 recommended. lol But thank you both.
This was an example, i meant you should search in your country something simmilar.
The Polish price is equal to the price from Amazon
No problem, Thank you for the idea .

Can you help me with some info on the front brake master cylinder? The sight glass disintegrated today... I need to locate a new one.
I "think" this is the one we found before that is a replacement but check it out to make sure.
Use "250cc brake mastercylinder right" on Ebay to look for more.
In other words I'm not guaranteeing it. Only $19.53 with free shipping from China so worth a try. Be sure and let us know if it works or not.

The sight glass always disintegrates when you give it a good wrap. lol
Thanks Barnone... My bike is being serviced right now( I work at a Honda motorcycle dealership, the lead technician is a putz) the service manager is working on it and is doing a good job. He was flushing the master cylinder and wiped the sight glass and it disintegrated... It looks and feels like lexan plastic. The master cylinder you posted looks like it. Thanks , looks like what's on an xr250.
Glad to see you back Vince. I lost interest here when you left. Happy you've returne!!!!
yeah I think that is the one, I was about to order that one, but was not sure. My sight glass is real brittle at the moment, if you touch it, brake fluid gets on your finger. Just have yet to order it.. but guess what I just did. figured why not, it should work.
I also recommend you get one of these to bleed them.. it is awesome and easy to use.

Got 13,047 miles on my bike. Still going strong.
Glad to hear the miles are still piling up. I have four other bikes so none of mine get a lot of use.
I use the

I use the bleeder on all my bikes and autos. Never do it the old way. Great for changing out the brake fluid too.
Just changed out the brake fluid on my new to me old 1989 one ton dually Toyota truck. Bet it was the original fluid, yucky stuff.
Made a new bed for it.
