Thanks, it is a 1989 ex Uhaul box truck. I'm gonna leave it here in NC and leave the other truck in FL and just drive my little car back and forth. The DF and the monkey bikes are going to stay in NC and the W650 will stay in FL.

Anybody do a kick start conversion on their DF? I guess the muffler would have to be moved a little aft.
I'm asking because it is the only bike out of my five that doesn't have a kick start.
Maybe it is not worth the effort? If I ever had to replace the engine that would be the time to do it.
Here is how it is done on a Honda Rebel... Notice the years of the parts. 250 Kick Start with Bearing and Seal - Honda Rebel Forum
Rotten weather all week, have not been able to ride at all. Looking forward to Saturday, although they say it will be in the 40's But hey I need to ride, so i am just gonna get all bundled up and tool around for a while. Got 13,058 miles on her, she yearns for more.
Bow,
Yep, we have had the bad weather too here in the mountains of WNC.
Three inches of the white stuff.

Barnone ,,,need a little help again !!! I have now got the 125 running and I have attached ape hangers Handel bars ,,, my question is do I need the 2nd throttle cable to the Carb ,??? And what is this for ??? Do I need to change or will it work with out ?? Thanks guys
I don't know what the throttle cable setup is on the DF125RTB. What carburetor does it have?
Maybe someone else here knows? Could you post a photo of the carburetor and the cable setup?
The DF250RTB has a PZ30 pumper carb which is like the PZ26 here

Barnone ,, yes it's the same as this and has another cable to the left of the carb that pulls the same as the main one on the top ,,, what is this for I have here it's just for safety if you throttle stays on or jams up this will close the carb off ???
More like almost a degree per MPH dude. It was a good bit lower than 40 degrees unless you were really mopeing along.
It was like 10 degrees or so. No wonder you knew it was cold out. That's to frisky for me.
The brake master cylinder worked perfect. I paid a little more and bought it from a seller here in the U.S., I got the new part in 3 days. Its the same part that fits a Honda XR250 dirt bike.
Thanks!

Thanks for posting the link to the master cylinder from Ebay seller xuanxuanparts
I guess no one is riding these days, due to the chilly weather. I have been on and off this past couple weeks as far as riding goes. Some days rideable, others not so much.
Starts out in the mid 40's around here, then up to the low 70's. Wake up each day, check the weather, If I can ride.. I do. How about you?
Too cold to ride here. Lows in the teens, highs in the 30's - 40's, and getting colder. Plus, when I replaced my battery, I didn't get my positive cable tucked back in all the way and the chain ate thru it. The cable is 20" long. I found a 24" long one on eBay that I hope will work.

I'm riding every day here in SW Florida but not on the DF. I left it in NC and am using my W650 and soon to have another Ural.
Attachment 16665
It is a 2015 Ural cT which should be here by Xmas.
Ouch, Nick. Good luck on that. I would definitely try to re rout the line as well.
Bar, that Ural is cool.I checked them out on their web pretty neat ride. But WAAYY out of my price range. $13,000 is a bit steep for me.
Anyway, I rode in this morning.. a brisk 45 degrees, mild 5 mph dry wind, felt a little like 55 degrees. They say it will hit a high of 68-71.
I just put on my extra warm stuff, had a nice ride in, and looking forward to after work to tool around a little. Even went in earlier to get out earlier to catch some of the sun after I get off.
I spotted my first Ural a couple of weeks ago outside of a bar here in Omaha. Check out the shark mouth paint job. Barnone, there was a wooden oar (yes, an oar) strapped to the side of the sidecar. Is this something that all Urals come with, or do you think it was a customization added by the owner?

Nick, I had that same limited edition model of Ural called the Yamal named after the Russian ice breaker.

My Ural Yamal at our place in Western North Carolina. Great riding on the gravel logging roads there in the mountains.

The Yamal loaded with our bicycles on the back. It did come with a paddle and the teeth on the front. Russian humor.
I sold it several months ago and ordered the 2015 Ural cT model which should arrive soon.
It has EFI and dish brakes all the way around and other improvements.
Wow. Interesting. What is the purpose of the paddle?
When you're "UP THE CREEK"... you will have a paddle? (sorry,I couldn't resist)... L.O.L.
None. Russian humor.:lol8:

I saw either a Dong Fang or a CCW today. I was proceeding through an intersection on the green light, and a guy to my left was waiting at the red. I could hear a small displacement engine, so knew it was not a custom bike like the ones made from the Suzuki Savages. If there is anyone from Yuma, AZ here that was riding today, that might have been you I saw...
