Links in #9 are located in Guangzhou bike "mart" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9Xnqfva1w4 "Wholesale export" is NOT new to them.

As an "outsider" that don't knows the trick, better just buy via 'net.
Find agents (search "taobao" in this forum) or
pals living in China that send via the "forwarder" (No one wants the "official rate" & hassle ) -One of those forwarder : http://www.sfcservice.com/
Re: Spare parts and manufacturer 167 FMM Tornado
Hello all and specially Hello to Humanbeing,
Many thanks for all those info.
Up to now I was never in favour of automatic translation bu it seem to have been improved and I am totally naked in front of Chinese writing.
I would be crasy to go to any of those bike mart.
Do you think that through Taobao or pals using forwarder could be possible to ship like spare parts or so ?
The idea is in my mind to repair bikes here as it looks like buy and throw away now. Some parts or bikes have been actually not made to last but many are designed for real use.
I use my HaoJiang now since one year and I was 7000 km yesterday. No trouble. Probably useful to think about spark plug and new chain.
What remains tricky is to have an engine and not possible to find the true parts ? Bike was built 2009 is not paleontology !
Regards.
Fred
Re: Spare parts and manufacturer 167 FMM Tornado
Hello,
I looked on Taobao but when I type request in english it is not successful.
All I could see seems very intersting also accessories like ignition components etc.
I have to find a way.
Beside that I think Why my engine with 65.5 piston is named (marked) 167FMM while it should be F165 or F166. I see F166FMM is always CB type with OHC.
I lloked all 167FMM I could find from all manufacturer but no one looks like mine. Head and cylinder are clearly CG familly. Right cover for clutch is Honda style but inside is 6 springs clutch. Right side looks like Lifan F156 with oval cover for ignition nut access and general cover shape.
I will try to make seals and reassemble. I was very happy to finally disassemble lower levers axle in side of cylinder. Wsa clogged and did not slide freely.
Regards.
Fred

Re: Spare parts and manufacturer 167 FMM Tornado
Hello and Many thanks for all the time you spend about questions.
I try to discuss about the actual size of pistons available with sellers (if I could find like 65.7 or 66 and I can rebore myself) and beside hat I make seals (faster than waiting to get the right one).
I try to see if 200 barrel could fit (barrel height and drilling for attachment).
I think a good way would be to send you light pictures of my engine.
Very interssting subject is what you say about Taobao and change systems. I am completely with no skill about that.
I know to use ebay but that is a lot easier for me (even if no relation whit what I need now.
Have a very good day.

Re: Spare parts and manufacturer 167 FMM Tornado
Hello,
My Clutch cover looks like (exactly except no brand name) the Zongshen 3rd row left and the ignition cover looks exactly like last row right with the oval cover.
Would that help to find who was the manufacturer or is it possible to buy engine parts and make assembly in a garage ?
Anyway what could be important could be a source for barrel.
Barrel height from sealing to sealing is 82mm + 25mm sleeve at bottom (total is 107). sleeve diameter coming in casing is 69.3.
I think all I saw untill now is different. Sleeve length is not very important and I can check if piston uses the complete length.
The main seems to be barrel height even if I can machine some adapter part for small difference.
Have all a very good day.

Re: Spare parts and manufacturer 167 FMM Tornado
Looking again about your picture for standard 250CG barrel, It is different but could fit with simple adapter.
The only problem would be piston pin 16mm when my conrod is bored 15mm. I would have to rebore the rod (??).
Many thanks.
