You need the stroke to calculate the exact displacement.
The LF167MM claims it is at 64.5 for the stroke and that calculates to 227cc.
This could be set into a software program....it would read an engine code and then generate information.
It could be linked to documents that define it and even to include any licensing rights, it could be open or restricted based on the terms. I am not sure but patents expire with or over time. It could be linked to diagrams and parts and even detail how to adjust and even rebuild it.
The point is that all of this struggling to identify is unnecessary and so is the huge amounts of money spent on government regulators that are not really doing anything.
M in the sixth character place is for "water cooled" QJ469MS-A QJ Qianjiang 4 cylinder 69 bore M water cooled S 600cc A revision. should be QJ469MMS-A

I wonder if you should, it may be just this one engine that is not conforming. actually you can add M for water cooling. But this QJ engine is missing the M in the 7th character place.
I seen it before the 250cc is 170MM and it is pretty consistently used./
The seventh character is what is not being covered if it is always M for motorcycle then what does L, Q, J and I signify
