Re: Serious twisties on a scooter
They were getting upwards of around 90 km/h on the fastest parts and averaging around 70 km/h. So 60 mph on the straights and 45 mph on the twisties. This IS indeed fast, but not anywhere near as fast as the bad quality video makes it look. You'd think they were doing 85 mph in the twisties by the quality of the video. (Still it makes for a great vid and they are stiull flying through there for sure!).
This was in his fastest sprint through the straight when he looked down because of how fast he was going.

I did a similar speed on my scooter which reads in km/h and had my iphone reading MPH on my GPS app.

That speed is VERY fast in the corners and they are hauling even at 45 MPH, it's just not QUITE as dramatic as the video makes it look. :)
Re: Serious twisties on a scooter
I still have yet to see a Chinese scooter with a working speedometer. Even my friend's Yamaha would repeatedly give readings that were about 15-20 Kph greater than what I was getting on my motorcycle.
