Sounds just like the US...and lots of other places in the world for that matter. :rolleyes1:

OK consider the XR1200

And then the Zonghen V Twin 250cc engine

That V-twin only has 18hp but it could be tuned to get more out of it, then they could design around it and make a knock off of the XR1200. Making it all fit together neatly and cleanly, that’s the trick, the bike is not a complex design the engine should be very clean though and everything tucked away and hidden from view.
What is the research and development? I would say figure out how to get at least 20hp out of that V-twin and then build a café style bike around it. Why do they only put that V-twin in a chopper or a cruiser?
Zongshen's web sites are terrible, they are or could not be worse if they tried, broken links images missing its like a terrible snafu.
I'd like to see a low budget cafe' bike, 250cc and V-twin nicely set into it.
This is the V twin in the Zongsen storm;
That engine is rated at what? This site says 18hp @7000 rpm

This Zongshen looks loosely modeled on a Harley 'Iron Horse Slammer Fat Back End' specialist custom jobbie: http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...re-get&p=11216
Hey guys
LATEST NEWS
Look at the homepage, on various places they show the Cyclone 500. Can we maybe expect a production of this bike.
http://www.zongsheninternational.com/Default1.aspx
Look under NEWS. They also displayed it at the 2010 Eicma fair it seems.
http://www.zongsheninternational.com...ZSYF.aspx?id=4
From their R&D department it says down the page:
"4) Developed 500CC engine and 13/18 horsepower general engine with vertical axis in cooperation with France "MECACHROME" company, which filled the gap products of large emission of the Group and improved development capability of large emission products of the Group."
Promises promises...
I wonder if it's like the 650 CFMoto, qingqi 250 motard, liquid cooled Galaxy XTR and all these cool bikes that are announced and never released. Though i'd love to have the option of buying a bike like this in china, i'm not holding my breath.
I woundn't give up on the CF moto project yet. They announced that production would start in the end of 2010.
With regards to Zongshen then I reckon it is promessing that they display the bike on their homepage, and admit that they have developed a 500 cc engine. I think I will write them an email about it one of theise days.
