Re: Pinkster the Canadian
HAHAAHH... so the Pink-paths have once again crossed! It may be a sign you know. :mwink:
I had a very brief corrspondence with Skinny over a year ago and it sounds like she's serious about doing her own thing. It's not easy to start and organize your own business or make ANYTHING happen in the motorcycle industry. To me, she's doing a fine job of using whatever resources she's got available to make sure more girls ride and learn how to do it properly while representing women in the sport. Also please keep in mind, that even though the girls look Western (as they are mostly of Dutch origin) the South African culture they live in is much more patriarchal than the US or Canada.
I'm sorry to hear people were ribbing you about having a pink bike but I say screw em'... do your thing and do it with gusto! Actions speak for themselves in the long run.
YMMV usually means "Your Mind May Vary" or "Your Mileage May Vary". It basically means you'll probably have a different take/perspective on the situation.
