Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Focus is kind of slow.:lol8:
AIR MAIL Parcel weight: 2 kg
45.19 USD
As expected the air mail is a lot more than the item.
A 95 RMB ($14.54 USD) center stand is costing me $68 USD total.
But like euphonius and I replied earlier, it's still a good deal assuming it will work for me.
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Well my center stand is finally leaving China to head to the USA. I ordered it on 3/25 and it is now 4/11 so Focus is kinda slow. Maybe there is a faster way because it seems kinda silly to pay $45 for airmail when it takes 17 days to get it from Taobao to Focus.
Anyway if the CS works out I will be happy. $68 is much better than the $150 I paid for my XT225 CS.

Barnone,
Actually, $45 doesn't sound like a raw deal, given that this thing is made of metal and traveling 12 time zones or so. I pay nasally for homebrewing supplies, and bear the cost because drinking swill is worse than drinking nothing at all. Another way to look at it is this: Unless you are handy with a torch, I don't think you could have fabricated this stand yourself for less than what you are paying. Final hurdle will be whether US customs dings you for some import duty on the US$14.54 part. I've not heard anything about punitive trade-war tariffs on chinabike center stands, so you should be good to go...
Let us know when she lands. It'll be good to see a full end-to-end Taobao Focus transaction.
cheers
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
jkp,
Yeah, I should not be bitching except for the 17 days from Taoboa to Focus. Anyway if the CS works out and there is demand in the USA for them, someone like CC could order in volume and ship at low coast like he did with the rear racks for the Q.

Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
The center stand arrived today, only took a month from order to delivery in the USA.:rolleyes1:
Slow boat from China?
Looks very nice as far as build and paint goes.

It was easy enough to install but is going to take some modification because it does not rock back far enough to allow the front wheel to touch the ground and the back wheel to be up off the ground.
If you try and push the front wheel down, the Q falls forward off the center stand.
I think I need to lower the metal pegs that control the amount of rock back or bend the legs but I need to study it some more.

Right now I would not recommend the center stand but maybe a small tweak will fix it for me.
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
can you post the dimensions for those who want to buil it locally?
and closer pictures of the mounting points and the position of the stand when retracted.
thankyou

There is no way you can build this center stand locally for $80 plus I don't think it is fair for me to measure it and send you the dimensions. I failed to show a machined piece that fits in the pivot part.
Here is a simpler one to copy.

Just a little curious about this statement. Are you saying that it wouldn't be fair to you or the manufacturer of the stand?
Re: QM200GY/QLINK XF200 Center Stand
Fair to the manufacturer of the stand. They spent quite a bit of time engineering the center stand.
