Late welcome from me. You probably won't have to tinker with the Qingqi as much as the others. Member 'snortin norton' has a very nice Norton. Again, welcome!

Congratulation to Spain!

Welcome to the site. Congrats on the big win. Nice bike you have too. I hope to see some ride reports and more pics in the near future.

I partially opened my forks today to check and count how many springs I have. You can't see them in the photo as they're below the solid spacer tubes, but I can assure you that there are TWO of them...I think that your friends have made a mistake. With only one spring on one side the handling would be very soft and unbalanced.

forchetto some of my Ukrainian friends having idea to do work with engine but without service manual its still tricky. Could You scan and post torque specs from your manual of DR200. At least something better then nothing. Thanks.
Will do as soon as the cat gets off my scanner and I've cleaned off his hairs...
Hi
welcome
Some forks do indeed have only one spring in one fork leg.(my scorpa trials bike has only one spring)
There have been one sided fork springs around for along time I think I had a KTM 10 years ago with Marzocchis with one spring.
Mtb bikes are pushing the bounds with this technology.
You're right. Thinking about it, if the triple clamps are rigid enough and the single spring is rated correctly there's no reason why a single spring won't work.
There's a bit of weight saving there as well.
I've been to a site to see that trials bike of yours...amazed by the weights quoted, something like 71 kg or 158 pounds, I've got a Honda Dax ST70 replica that weighs more than that!.
Here they are, in .jpg format:
