Hi All,
i am working on our next CJ trip...
I am thinking about driving from China to Vietnam or better from China to Laos (is it possible ?).
Any of you has any experience in doing it ? or better any of you know somebody there who can arrange hassle-free border crossing ?

Hi Antoine,
3 months back I drove my Jialing from Shanghai to Laos. I met a Motorcycle tour group in Luangprabang, they new for fact it is not possible to enter Vietnam with a "havy" motor bike.
This CNY Im driving the Jialing from China/Lao/Thailand/Cambodia/Thailand/Lao/China.

They didn't "know" anything, they assumed something. It is absolutely 100% possible to enter Vietnam with a motorcycle, however, it is VERY expensive.

;) been there, done that.......from Guatemala to Chile without driving license hahah but it eats a lot of money, better do it right. Cheaper.
