On a sidenote I'd like to add that the bikes displayed in the photos above are the X2X, and not the X2.

From what I could find on the internet, the X2 is the "race" version. No lights and so on, and can't be registered.
The X2X comes in 2 different versions, "enduro" and "supermotard" version. Please correct my if I'm wrong!

according to the manual it has an adjustable steering head arrangement
has anybody played around with this? and to what effect?

there is a locking collar there so it seems to be adjustable , but i dont know if one should tamper with that part
Yes, the front shock body can be disassembled from their mounts and the top inserted back more above the locking collar to lower the height. There isn't a whole lot space between the collar and the handle bar, perhaps 3/4 cm. That is what is typically done by lots of height challenged riders. The spring on the back can only be adjusted in softness to reduce the height.Quote:

Didn't Andre add handlebar-risers, I remember him mentioning those in his Shineray thread? Those would give you even some more space to adjust the front I guess.

and a 500lb spring instead of 400
but ,yes if i use risers i can drop the triple clamps
and if i can lower the rear the same amount i should be able to get it down to something like this

Hi, Guys.
Had a small issue with the new Motard. The countershaft seal has had a small leak since new and has got to a stage when it needs fixing. Only 280ks on her.I was worried that it would be same as NX250 engine which would be an engine strip to insert from inside. To my relief turned out to different type and size. Off to the bearing supplies now for a new seal -- let you know the size and any other info soon. Len
